Job Overview
The QIS Market Solutions team is Solactive’s center of excellence for quantitative strategies. It manages the end-to-end lifecycle of systematic index strategies across multiple asset classes, combining quantitative finance, data engineering, and software development. The team develops and maintains quantitative models, builds and improves the infrastructure supporting daily index operations, and works directly with institutional clients on technical and operational matters. Operating across Solactive’s offices in Frankfurt, Toronto, and Hong Kong, the team combines quantitative expertise with hands-on development and client engagement.
Your Tasks
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quantitative models for the QIS business. 
  • Develop and maintain quantitative tools and automated workflows to improve daily index operations. 
  • Support institutional clients, including investment banks, hedge funds, and asset managers, with technical and operational inquiries. 
  • Contribute to quantitative infrastructure projects, from solution design and development to testing and deployment. 
Your Profile
  • Experience programming in Python. 
  • Good understanding of software development principles, version control, and collaborative development practices. 
  • Basic knowledge of database architecture, data flows, and SQL. 
  • Good understanding of financial markets, particularly derivatives. 
  • Familiarity with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, LSEG, or FactSet is an advantage. 
  • Team-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. 
  • Self-driven, organized, and eager to learn and improve. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. 
  • Experience in financial industry is a plus.

Recruiting process

    Screening Call

    The screening / introduction round is focus on assessment of a candidate's basic qualifications and determine whether (s)he is a good fit for the role and the company.

    Meeting the team

    The team round is focused on the candidate’s subject-matter know-how and abilities. The interviewer will ask questions specific to the job and the candidate’s prior experience. The candidate will be expected to provide specific examples to demonstrate his/her subject- matter knowledge.

    Task round

    This one is an optional round, primarily targeted towards technical roles such as developers, that aims to filter out unfit candidates based on their coding skills.
    As part of the optional task round, the candidate will be given a home task to solve within a specified timeline, which they will need to complete and send back to the hiring team for evaluation.

  4. 4.

    Management talk

    The management round is the opportunity for the candidate to show qualifications and motivation for the role, from a strategic company-fit point of view.
    Moreover, it is an opportunity for the candidate to learn more about the company's culture and vision.
