Job Overview
Are you excited about capital markets and fixed income investments? Would you like to turn that interest into running the indices that our clients around the world use as benchmarks to build products on?

As a (Senior) Vice President in our Fixed Income Index Management team, you will take a senior role ensuring our daily index operations run in a stable manner and help us bringing our current activities at the next level of scalability. Additionally, you will act as a go-to contact for clients and internal stakeholders and help shape how the team works.

We are looking for someone who takes the initiative, has a lot of energy and is confident questioning the status quo. You should be just as comfortable taking full ownership of critical daily processes. This is a role at the intersection of investment strategy, client management and technical evolution.
Your Tasks
Daily index operations
  • Own the daily production and maintenance of fixed income indices, including bond creation and maintenance, corporate actions and bond event processing, ensuring accurate, complete and timely index outputs.
  • Monitor daily controls and fix production issues quickly, escalating where appropriate.
Index rebalances
  • Manage periodic index rebalances from start to finish.
  • Make sure index strategies remain true to their scope and evolve them in line with developments in the market and client needs.
Client and stakeholder interaction
  • Act as a key contact for clients, licensees and partners on index questions, rebalance results and methodology.
  • Work with Product, Sales, Data and IT teams to support client requests, or custom index projects.
  • Run methodology reviews, consultations and control the governance processes.
Process ownership and improvement
  • Question existing workflows and find chances to make them more efficient, automated and robust.
  • Drive improvements to operational procedures, controls and documentation.
  • Share knowledge across the team and support junior colleagues.
Your Profile
  • Academic degree in mathematics, finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in capital markets or financial services, with solid exposure to fixed income. This could be in asset management, portfolio management or operations, trading, fixed income research, risk, or banking.
  • Strong understanding of fixed income instruments and data fields (e.g., bond characteristics, pricing conventions, accrued interest, duration, corporate actions)
  • A real interest in capital markets and fixed income investments, plus a good understanding of how bonds work: terms and conventions, yields, accrued interest, duration, ratings, and bond events.
  • Experience with structured, time-critical processes where accuracy matters.
  • Confident communicating with clients and colleagues, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
  • Proactive and energetic, with a hands-on mindset and the confidence to challenge established ways of working.
  • Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail, and able to stay calm and structured under time pressure.
  • Fluent in English (German is a strong plus).
  • Open to candidates based in Toronto who are willing to relocate to Germany.
Our Offer
  • Global Team: Join our motivated international team at Solactive.
  • Competitive Compensation: Receive a competitive compensation package
  • Modern Culture: Enjoy our modern, flat hierarchy and startup-like culture.
  • Responsibility & Connections: Take over responsibility from day one and build relationships in- and outside of the company with a highly sophisticated international client base.
  • Vacation: Enjoy 30 annual vacation days, plus extra time off for Christmas Eve and New Year.
  • Special Benefits: Job ticket and gym access, access to Corporate Benefits, modern office space with ergonomic set-up, employee lounge, and free beverages and fruits.
