Methodology Change | Solactive L&G Global Thematic Index | Effective Date 03/07/2023

Today, on 16/06/2023, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following indices (the ‘Affected Indices’). The changes to the methodology will become effective on 03/07/2023.

Rationale for Methodology Change

Removal of the index holiday calendar: For an index with global exposure, i.e. constituents listed on a wide array of exchanges from various regions, standard market practice is to not apply any index holidays, since on each particular weekday at least one of the underlying exchanges is most likely open for trading.
The index should therefore always consider all available intra-day prices, closing prices and foreign exchange rates to reflect prevailing market conditions.

6. DEFINITIONS

From (old version):

“CALCULATION DAY” is every weekday from Monday to Friday. A day on which the London Stock Exchange is not open for general business is not a CALCULATION DAY.

To (new version):

“CALCULATION DAY” is every weekday from Monday to Friday.
