Today, on the 27/10/2023, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following Indices (the ‘Affected Indices’):

Rationale for Methodology Change

Solactive has determined that the current list of RBICS used to identify relevant companies needs to be enhanced to properly reflect the index strategy again.

1. Correcting Solactive Category “Uranium”

Since its inception the index always intentionally contained a company of the Subindustry “Uranium Mining” in the Solactive Category “Uranium”. However, the Subindustry is not listed in the Index Guideline. This will be corrected by adding the Subindustry “Uranium Mining” to the Solactive Category “Uranium”.

2. Adjusting the Methodology to changes in the Revere Business Industry Classification System (RBICS)

RBICS introduced a new Industry Group “Streaming and Royalties” in their July 2023 methodology enhancements. “Streaming and Royalties” companies have a central role in the mining industry and are therefore an essential part of the index strategy. Furthermore, relevant companies of the index universe got reclassified to the new classification.

3. Adding Industry Group “Multi-Product Mining”

The Industry Group “Multi-Product Minig” was not considered for the indices so far as it did not contain eligible securities. Due to the reclassification of a current index constituent and important player in the mining industry (South32 Ltd., ISIN: AU000000S320), the Industry Group contains now relevant companies for the index strategy.

Changes to the Index Guideline

The following Methodology changes will be implemented in the following points of the Index Guideline (ordered in accordance with the numbering of the affected sections):

Defined terms used in this announcement, but not defined herein, have the meaning assigned to them in the respective index guideline of the Affected Indices. The amended version of the index guideline will be available on the effective date.
