Methodology Change | Several Indices | Effective Date 22/09/2022

Today, on 16.09.2022, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following Indices (the ‘Affected Indices’):

Rationale for Methodology Change

In order to enhance the robustness of the index selection process and the consistency within the indices administered by Solactive, a change of the definition of “European Universe” and “American Universe” to reference the Solactive GBS indices as a starting universe for the Affected Indices will be made. Further consequential changes will also be implemented in the Index Guideline.

Changes to the Index Guideline

The following methodology changes will be implemented in the following points of the Index Guideline (ordered in accordance with the numbering of the affected sections):

Guidelines for .EUSSEL and .SOASE

Section 3.1.5 (.EUSSEL) or Section 3.1.2 (.SOASE)

“European Universe” means the union of the 200 most Capitalized shares that are quoted on regulated markets of the European Eligible Countries.

“American Universe” means the union of the 100 most Capitalized shares that are quoted on regulated markets of the American Eligible Countries (the United States)

“European Universe” means all securities that are part of the Solactive GBS Developed Markets Europe Investable Universe USD Index PR (ISIN: DE000SLA8DV6) on a Basket Review Date. 

“American Universe” means all securities that are part of the Solactive GBS United States Investable Universe Index PR (ISIN: DE000SLA8D10) on a Basket Review Date.

Defined terms used in this announcement, but not defined herein, have the meaning assigned to them in the respective Index Guideline of the Affected Indices. The amended version of the Index Guideline of the Affected Indices will be available on Solactive website on the effective date.
