Today, on the 22/05/2020, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following index (the ‘Affected Index’):

Rationale for methodology change

Solactive has determined that due to Section 871(m) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), a non-US person could no longer avoid partially or entirely US withholding tax on US-source dividend payments by using financial derivatives. Section 871(m) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) aims to collect tax on dividend-equivalent payments for derivative instruments referencing US equity instruments. In consideration of effects from section 871(m) of IRC, Solactive AG has proposed to exclude the securities listed on the US stock exchanges from the Affected Index going forward. Since no US securities have been included in the Affected Index since 2017, the exclusion of securities listed on US stock exchanges will have no impact on the current Affected Index composition.
