Guideline Change | SOLACTIVE EQUILEAP US SELECT GENDER EQUALITY INDEX | Effective Date 22.02.2021

Today, on the 08.02.2021, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following Indices (the ‘Affected Indices’):

Rationale for Methodology Change 

Solactive AG determined to refine the controversial activities filter of the Affected Indices by adding a Cannabis Involvement filter whereby companies with more than 10% revenue exposure in Cannabis business will be excluded.

Changes to the Index Guideline

The following Methodology changes will be implemented in the following points of the Index Guideline (ordered in accordance with the numbering of the affected sections):

Section 2.2. SELECTION OF THE INDEX COMPONENTS

Old Wording:

Based on the INDEX UNIVERSE, the initial composition of the INDEX as well as any selection for an ordinary rebalance is determined on the SELECTION DAY in accordance with the following rules (the “INDEX COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS“):

• Controversial Businesses: exclude companies with more than 10% revenue exposure to Gambling, Adult Entertainment, Alcoholic Beverages, Tobacco Products, or Military Equipment.

Defined terms used in this announcement, but not defined herein, have the meaning assigned to them in the respective index guideline of the Affected Indices. The amended version of the index guideline will be available on the effective date.
