Deletion | BEST WORLD INTERNATIONAL LTD | 5th September 2024
On August 22, 2024 BEST WORLD INTERNATIONAL LTD announced that the Selective Capital Reduction has been approved by the Court. The record date has been set on September 6, 2024 for the purpose of determining the entitlements of the Eligible Shareholders to the Cash Distribution under the Selective Capital Reduction. Eligible Shareholders registered in the Register of Members as at the Record Date will be entitled to receive SGD 2.56 for each Share registered in their respective names as at the Record Date. Payment of the Cash Distribution will be made to Eligible Shareholders after the Effective Date and is expected to be on September 20, 2024. As the cash distribution could potentially be higher than the last close price, Solactive AG will remove BEST WORLD INTERNATIONAL LTD from the indices effective open September 5, 2024. Please note, the final removal price will depend on the stock trading status. If the stock is trading on its primary exchange on the day previous from the effective date, then the primary exchange closing price will be used. If the stock is not trading on its primary exchange then the removal price will be the cash terms SGD 2.56, subject to the closing price is not below the cash terms.
The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:
- BEST WORLD INTERNATIONAL LTD will be removed from the Index.
- The weight of BEST WORLD INTERNATIONAL LTD (BEST.SI) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
