Bankruptcy | AMERICANAS SA | 16th May 2024
Initially announced on January 20, 2023, AMERICANAS SA filed bankruptcy protection request to Rio de Janeiro court. On February 26, 2024, the court approved the judicial reorganization plan of AMERICANAS SA. On April 22, 2024, AMERICANAS SA announced the consolidation together with highly dilutive rights offering, as part of the reorganization plan. In the event of undergoing reorganization plan, Solactive will remove AMERICANAS SA from administered indices on May 16, 2024 (open) based on its last close price. Please note, the final removal price will depend on the stock trading status. If it is not trading on the stock exchange or any alternative eligible exchange, then the removal price will be zero.
- AMERICANAS SA will be removed from the Index.
- The weight of AMERICANAS SA (AMER3.SA) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
- Effective Date (open): 16/05/2024
