Announcement | NUVEEN PREFERRED AND INCOME FUND | Informative Notice

Initially announced on April 13, 2023, Nuveen Preferred and Income Fund(NYSE: JPT), Nuveen Preferred & Income Securities Fund (NYSE: JPS), and Nuveen Preferred
& Income Opportunities Fund (NYSE: JPC) have approved a proposal to merge the funds. The proposed mergers, approved by shareholders on October 13, 2023, would combine each of JPT and JPS into JPC. Subject to the satisfaction of certain customary closing conditions, the mergers are expected to become effective before the market opens on November 6, 2023.

Due to the fact that the conversion ratios are not finalized until market effective of the fund merger. Solactive will delay the event until the final conversion ratios are available on the market.

Once confirmed, Nuveen Preferred and Income Fund(NYSE: JPT), Nuveen Preferred & Income Securities Fund (NYSE: JPS) will be removed from the index respectively. Nuveen Preferred & Income Opportunities Fund (NYSE: JPC) will be added into the index based on the final conversion ratios. And the Solactive effective date will be the next business date of the final term confirmation.
