Acquisition | BENEFIT ONE INC | 20th May 2024

On 7 December 2023, BENEFIT ONE INC announced that they had received a tender offer to purchase all common shares in the company made by DAI-ICHI LIFE HOLDINGS INC. As per the offer, shareholders would receive JPY 2173 per share. The tender offer expired on 11 March 2024, with acceptances reaching 51.44%. Before DAI-ICHI LIFE HOLDINGS INC’s successful offer the offer of M3 got rejected. BENEFIT ONE INC scheduled a general shareholders meeting for 26 April 2024, in which it was announced that the company would be delisted from the JPX on 20 May 2024.

The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:

• BENEFIT ONE INC will be removed from the Index.
• The weight of BENEFIT ONE INC (2412.T) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
• Effective Date (open): 20/05/2024
