Initially announced on November 28, 2023 FIDELITY CHINA SPECIAL SITUATIONS PLC (FCSS) made an offer for ABRDN CHINA INVESTMENT CO. Shareholders could have chosen between a cash option or a stock option. Non-electing shareholders will receive 2.064810 shares of FCSS for every share held in ABRDN CHINA INVESTMENT CO. The shareholders approved the Acquisition on March 11, 2024. Trading in ABRDN CHINA INVESTMENT CO shares was halted effective March 7, 2024.
The treatment below will be applied to the following indices:
- ABRDN CHINA INVESTMENT CO will be removed from the Index.
- The weight of ABRDN CHINA INVESTMENT CO (ACIC.L) based on its last close price will be distributed pro rata to remaining Index constituents.
