Today, on the 23rd of November 2023, Solactive announces the following changes to the methodology of the following indices (the ‘Affected Indices’):

Rationale for methodology change
The Royal Selection Committee, who is responsible for providing the index composition for Solactive Global Royalties Index has approved lowering the revenue threshold for IP royalties from 70% (65% buffer) to 50% (45% buffer). Solactive’s index committee has approved the above change.
Changes to the Index Guideline
The wording in Section 2.2 of the index guideline is replaced by the following wording:
“Companies eligible for inclusion through Intellectual Property Royalties must generate at least 50% (45%) of their revenues from one or more of the activities listed above as at the latest reporting period or the prior half for new (current) Index components.”

the respective index guideline of the Affected Indices.
